Tangi DION JAMES

Tangi James is a Caribbean-Canadian freelance illustrator and visual development artist for animation based in LA. After graduating with a BFA in Animation at Savannah College of Arts and Design in 2013, she has since worked as a character animator and storybook artist with clients like Disney, Universal Pictures, DC Studios, and Fisher Price. 

She has gathered all her experience of storytelling and production from the past decade to debut Princess Peponi and a Spoonful of Moon, and is currently balancing projects with homeschooling her daughter.

Illustrated books for the test-screening of “Disney Junior Ariel” approximately 30% earlier than expected, which granted a promotion to the Visual Development Department for the remainder of said contract.

Senior Animator Fisher Price Studios   —  Feb 2020 - May 2022

Completed scripts, storyboards, animatics, and 3D animation for the series Imaginext DC Super Friends and Imaginext Jurassic World, which has generated approximately 177 million youtube views collectively.

Producer You in Danger Gurl Podcast  —  April 2020 - December 2020

Designed, recorded, edited, and managed You In Danger Gurl Podcast with actor Janelle James, which maintained a 4.9 star rating throughout its airing and placed #13 on the top 100 US Podcast Charts in 2020.
